Police cruelly beaten up an 8 years old child in oo shin kya village Under Maung Daw

A youth from Oo shin kya village report that the police group about whom I mentioned in my earlier report “police harassment in Maung daw northern Aarkan”, was mercilessly beaten up to an eight years old child while watching his paddy field at about 9:00pm yesterday.

It was confirmed that the child, Osman son of Ali was cruelly beaten up by the police while he was watching his paddy field as his father and farmers went to the home for dinner. Unluckily the police group saw the child alone in the field while patrolling around the area and beaten him up unkindly. After the event, the child parent rushed to the village administrator with complaint in the following morning (today morning).

The village administrator Amir Hakim told the angry parent that he would go the officer in charge with this complaint and ask him for the justice. Then there was no report of punishment given to the police although the officer promised to the village administrator of giving justice while complaining to him today at noon.

Moreover, the police make quarrel and fight among them in the bazaar of the said village after drinking alcohol.  Sometimes they divide into two group having fight among them and again they become one group. The fights of the police are not only creating panic among the villagers but also worsening the sale of the shopkeepers in the bazaar.
